CADS offer a wide range of services designed to support and empower people who are affected by alcohol or drugs.
Day treatment programme
This is a 12 week Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) abstinence based treatment programme. Through a comprehensive assessment process we collaboratively create a personalised treatment plan which is continually monitored evaluated and adjusted as different needs arise.
Residential service
We provide a safe, supportive, therapeutic environment for men over 18 years of age recovering from substance use. We follow a total abstinence framework, providing short-term support, counseling, practical helps, life skills and employment training. We also implement innovative shared-care and resettlement packages which help clients integrate better into their community.
Individual psychotherapy
We offer individual psychotherapy (CBT) with each session lasting fifty minutes. The average duration of a treatment episode is 12 to 15 sessions, though this may vary according to the complexity of the problems presented.
Aftercare
Departure planning, aftercare and onward referral are part of our structured programme. The development of an appropriate package of aftercare and support takes place in the final phase of the treatment episode of service users aiming to achieve abstinence.
Floating support
People can experience difficulties with alcohol at any stage in their life. Sometimes these difficulties can greatly diminish the independence and quality of our lives. CADS offer a general counseling support service for residents of Brent whose lives have become complicated by the misuse of alcohol.
